UCW SPRING REPORT
This spring U.C.W. has not been sitting idle. Here are a few of the things we have been involved in:
Hosted the Annual General Meeting for Middlesex County U.C.W.
Helped organize the farewell party for Rev, Christina Paradela
On May 3 the ladies dressed up and indulged in a Victorian tea complete with finger sandwiches, desserts and of course TEA.
Along with M6:8, we screened the award-winning film “Atrocity”. This film was created by retired London police staff sergeant Nigel Stuckey and the subject is the unhoused in our city. Over 100 people attended and participated in a Q & A with a four-person panel. The free will offering totalled $1,410.00 and was donated to Indwell. This was a very insightful event.
We made 275 beef pies and anticipate making more in the future as we sold all of the first batch.
We are ending the spring season with a Picnic Potluck Lunch for all the women of our community of faith on Tuesday June 3.
On Monday June 9 U.C.W. members from Middlesex County spent the day at Camp Kee-Mo-Kee. It was a time of crafts, camp songs, 2025 camp news, potluck lunch and worship and communion.
We hope everyone has a warm, wonderful, fun-filled summer!
